PTSD & Trauma

At Centennial Counseling Center, we recognize the profound impact that trauma can have on a person’s emotional, mental, and physical well-being. Trauma can stem from a wide range of experiences—from a single life-threatening event like a car accident or natural disaster to ongoing situations such as abuse or community violence. When these experiences go unprocessed, they can lead to conditions like Acute Stress Disorder, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), or Complex PTSD. Symptoms may include flashbacks, nightmares, mood changes, and difficulty maintaining relationships. Whether the trauma was recent or occurred years ago, healing is possible—and we’re here to help you take that first step.
